The Product Development Group Zurich (pd|z) sees itself as a centre for system-oriented product development and innovation. We conduct research into methods and processes for product development and the development of new technologies and systems. The aim of our work is to contribute to the innovative capability and competitiveness of the mechanical engineering industry. We consider research, teaching and industry cooperation as a unit.

We

• research into systems, methods and processes of industrial product development
• cooperate with industry in order to establish a mutual knowledge exchange that enables our work to be value-added and relevant to the industry
• train engineers with extensive basic expertise combined with a high degree of professional competence
